  • Who leads the workshops?
The workshops are led by expert mechanic Melissa Hannan, who has over 19 years of experience in the industry and qualified for 12 years.
  • Where are the workshops held?
The workshops are available nationwide across New Zealand, providing a judgment-free space where women can build confidence and gain practical car knowledge.
  • What skills will I learn in the workshops?
In the workshops, you will learn all the essential checks under the bonnet, changing wiper blades, lights and how to correctly jack up and change a wheel.
  • Do I need to bring my own vehicle?
No need! I provide the vehicle for the workshop. However, I do set aside time during the session to go over your own vehicle, helping you locate and understand its key components.
  • How long do the workshops run?
The workshops usually take just under three hours. They’re designed to be hands-on and informative, without taking up your entire day.
  • Do you offer corporate workshops?
Yes, I’m more than happy to arrange private workshops for you and your team. These sessions are limited to 10 participants to ensure everyone gets the chance to see, learn, and get hands-on.
  • Will you be running workshops in my town?
Yes! I regularly update my social media with upcoming events, where you can find all available workshops in each town on my Events page. You can also view the workshop locations under "Courses" page on my website.
  • Will the workshop be helpful if I drive a hybrid or electric vehicle?
Absolutely! Hybrids share all the same components covered in the workshop, plus I include additional information specific to hybrids and electric vehicles. You'll get the essentials for both types.
  • Is there an age limit to attend the workshop?
Not at all! If you're keen to learn, you're welcome to join. I've had participants as young as 13, and there’s no such thing as being too old to gain new skills.
